Rev. Lincoln M. Burruss Installed as Third Pastor

In 1991, Rev. Burruss became a licensed Minister and was ordained in 1998.  In November 2008, Rev. Burruss was appointed and voted in as the Assistant Pastor, and on April 13, 2012, he was voted in as Pastor-Elect of the Central Baptist Church of Camp Springs.(Read more about Pastor Burruss)

Rev. Lincoln M. Burruss, Jr., was born on October 25, 1965, in Washington, D.C., to Sister Dorothy B. Burruss and Brother Lincoln M. Burruss, Sr.*; he is one of three children. Rev. Burruss is married to the former Angela Greenfield and is also the father of three children—Jada, Jalynn, and Javon.

At an early age, Rev. Burruss accepted Christ and was baptized at Rehoboth Baptist Church where he was a member of the Young Adult Choir and church drummer.  Later, he joined Central Baptist Church--now Central Baptist Church of Camp Springs--where he sang with the Young Adult Choir, played the drums, taught Sunday School, served as the Youth Pastor, and conducted new members training.

On June 23, 2012, at the 11:00 a.m. service, the church held an Installation Service for Rev. Lincoln M. Burruss, Jr.  The theme was Recognizing God's Divine Plan Blessed is the Man You Choose; Scripture: Psalm 65:4. Rev. Rodney Ruffin, Pastor, Elim Baptist Church, Temple Hill, MD, was the guest preacher. Many pastors/ministers from other churches were present, as well as legislative officials.  Rev. Mack H. Parker*, brother of Rev. John H. Parker*, and Pastor of the Good Ship Baptist Church, Millbrook, AL, presented our new Pastor to the church.  Oh, what a glorious occasion in the Lord, which transpired on that day!
