Edifice in Maryland (Land Purchased)

In 1994, approximately 3.2 acres of land was acquired on Linda Lane and Old Branch Avenue in Camp Springs, MD, for the building of a new edifice for Central Baptist Church.

 

In 1998, additional property was acquired on Linda Lane and Old Branch Avenue--the land needed to supplement the building site.

On September 20, 2003, at 10:30 a.m., the ground breaking ceremony was held for Central Baptist Church of Camp Springs, MD.  The theme was Preserving the Past While Building the Future; Scripture: Proverbs 24:27. Prince George’s County Executives and other dignitaries participated in our celebration. It was a grand momentous occasion in the history of Central Baptist Church. God continued to bless Central Baptist Church.  

On July 16, 2004, Deacons Timothy Jones, Chairman of the Deacon Board, Willie Rawls, Sr.*, Vice-Chairman of the Deacon Board, Wilbert Lewis, Secretary of the Deacon Board and Project Manager of the building site, and Trustee Francis Bryant signed the official loan papers for construction of the new edifice at Linda Lane and Old Branch Avenue in Camp Springs, MD.
